![]() 'To follow up a bit (after a month and a half of digging through Bluetooth in Xcode/iOS7)…. This is what wrote about it in a relevant thread not long ago': It may be different if it uses different bluetooth protocol. Takes some programming in midibridge though. Of course as mentioned people are using it with midibridge in awesome ways like firing off notes. I look for apps or computers programs that increase my ideas or workflow and my BlueBoard does that. This may sound very basic but it has saved my eyes and back and allowed me to make some great music. I use keyboard, midi guitar, or theremin, to record the midi and then I set my BlueBoard to scan randomly and I can just sit back and loop the song while I search for the right sound. When I record a piece of app or game music or a kids song on my mac or iPhone, I need to find the right sound. I use to have to stop recording for a solo and pedal change. Yes it is still young and controls all apps, but like I mentioned keeping it simple helps avoids this. Of course it takes the place of a pedalboard. If you give lessons or do shows you can wow a crowd by just switching presets with your feet. Really that may sound basic but it just makes loopy easier to use. ![]() Sometimes it has to be tapped twice, like to clear. So instead of hitting loopy with fingers and grabbing guitar in right spot I just foottap and countdown. Just setting 4 presets for Loopy makes it a better app. This is exciting, trying this out for the very first time! I didn’t get in on the beta, and honestly, I bought it, but I never really tried the original Loopy HD either. The BlueBoard has made my life easier in a few basic ways I know you lucky mofos that have had the beta for a while now probably have some tricks figured out by now! So how’s everyone running Loopy Pro? stand-alone? As an audio effect in AUM? Anyone tried it in Drambo? Cubasis? (NS2, Ape, shoot there’s probably a million different ways to set this up) The Sound Test Room did a video about this:Īh! This is the video I needed! Thanks Doug! JP’s tutorial is good as well!) Is there a tut anywhere that takes us through simple steps, like, say, how to load an AU3 instrment to play on a loop/track etc? A grid of 16 buttons would let people choose a set of MIDI destination channels, which could be said:Īm sufficiently confused to know this is A Good Thing. IMO, an up/down button would be a heck of a lot better (there's only 16 channels!). I've figured out the "right" way to do it, but having the other connections get removed was counter-intuitive.Īre you only supporting AUv3? (This is the way, IMO, but I was a little surprised to not see IAA or Audiobus).Īnother request - each of the MIDI destinations can have a channel filter, and right now this is done with a slider. I can add multiple MIDI destinations for my app by hitting the plus on the track strip - but if I use the gear icon on a synth AUv3 to select my app as a MIDI source, it seems like the other connections get removed. Adding in the ability to send MIDI to Loopy Pro itself would let me use an app that I'm working on in a really really useful way. One request - could you make the MIDI learn/control features learnable from MIDI generated by an AUv3? The "MIDI Destinations" lists the other AUv3 plug-ins, virtual MIDI out, and the hardware interfaces. Happy to throw a little bit of cash into the bucket, to keep you going! I'm not much of an audio looper guy, but I like the set-up, and what you've done. Also, while I'm on my high horse, how many of you folks who don't want to pay a fair price for software would do your jobs if you weren't paid? We should have a thread dedicated to price moaners, and some mods on the forum to move them there. Lots of desktop apps might provide fixes for older versions for a limited period, but not forever. In fact, Michael's version is better than that, because he promises free bug fixes forever, too. Then, when the new version ships, you have to option to upgrade, or not. Not that "it's always been like this" is a justification for anything, but it is an established and sustainable model.īuy the app, and you're done. I get the feeling that the folks complaining about the pricing structure eitherī) are the folks who think they have to pay for an app once and then get free updates for EVER!įor anyone who never bought software before the App Store, this is how it has always worked. ![]() It’s deep, but at the same time very fast.! And continue using it as you always have.Īnd this is A DAW, probably suited to more music production than any other DAW on IOS. You buy it now, and then if you want the latest and greatest features the next year you pay to upgrade or you don’t. but to me it’s just like any desktop DAW. I feel like people are confused by the pricing.
